
What to See
(Museo Nacional de Escultura), Calle Cadenas de San Gregorio 1 (open daily from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays; closed on Mondays and holidays), in the old quarter, contains what is reputed to be one of the finest collections of religious, polychromed statuary in the world. The museum is housed in the elaborate Colegio de San Gregorio, built between 1488 and 1496, whose facade is profusely covered with detailed carvings.
