I am a photographer. Granted I am only a semi pro photographer but I am published both in print and on micro stock agencies.  Photos are a part of my everyday life.  I always carry a point and shoot in my purse, they are so light I don’t even notice any additional weight in my purse. Yes, my smart phone has a camera but I still prefer the lens clarity and options on my cameras vs my smart phone.  You just never know when you might run across something that might sell on a micro stock agency.

Point and shoot camera are perfect to take on any type of vacation.  You can even carry them in a fanny pack or your pocket making it easy to grab and take a few photos without having to open a camera bag etc.
